I caught this jack of the inlet at singer island. I used
a Krocodile spoon, 20lb power pro braid, an Okuma AV40 reel and a
tidewater 8ft 15-30 surf rod. My tape measure was 36 inches and it was
estimated to be over forty inches. It took some time to get a shore.
Boat traffic had to be directed and people on shore were of great
help.(although they were betting against me:-) Ken Bellerose

My 6 year old son (Gregory
Bryant) caught this 14lb Triple Tale of the Venice Florida while fishing
with his dad (Scott Bryant) on our 17 Keywest CC. The fish was landed
after a 10 min. battle that included 2 long runs, 3 jumps and a deep
struggle. The gear used was a Shimano Stradic 4000 w/20lb powerpro on a
Ande Tournament Series 7' MH rod with a Owner Mutu Light circle hook and
a live shirmp. |

Three
photos from a backwater Fishbuster Charter this summer--back in the good
ol' days, before the hurricanes, red tide, and gas prices all went
crazy! The first is of angler, Carrie Cooper with a snook (released),
and the other two are of her husband, scott Cooper, with a jack cravalle,
and with a 19 inch redfish. All were caught on live shrimp in Estero Bay.
