Lower Tampa Bay. We were able to put the
angler, Jody Friedman, on his first tarpon, which he managed to land.
Nice fish around 70-80 pounds. Always good to see someone get their

Dave Robinson, from Sarasota,, joined me for a trip in upper Charlotte Harbor. The
action was red hot at first light when tarpon fed on baitfish in the Peace
River. They jumped 7 tarpon and landed 2 to 18-pounds. The tarpon ate DOA

Bill Roth, from Longboat Key, FL, and his
son, Will Roth from Columbus, OH, fished with me on Monday and Tuesday. We
fished Peace River canals on Monday due to rough seas in the gulf and it
proved to be a good decision. They jumped 3 tarpon and landed one of them, a
feisty 20-pounder. From Capt. Rick Grassett.

Here's a nice sunset tarpon caught by Heath
Marston . Fished the last of the outgoing tide on Sat. and managed to
catch the slam - trout, redfish, and snook - when this beauty eat a pinfish
near Little Gasparilla Pass. What a battle it was as Heath had the
tarpon hooked on a 7 foot 6-10 lb. St. Croix rod. He had 20 lb. leader
and a 1/0 hook... unbelievable!!! The tarpon was revived and
released after the photo.
